Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits is currently seeking a Direct to Consumer (DTC) Associate Manager. This role reports into the Head of DTC and Digital Transformation and plays a critical role on the Consumer Marketing team.

This position will be tasked with helping to drive growth for Deutsch's three DTC brands - Josh Cellars/Josh Cellars Reserve, The Calling and Force and Grace - by managing the day-to-day operations of the e-commerce order cycle, implementing full funnel conversion and retention strategies aligned with brand objectives. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated wine knowledge and will be well-spoken and poised, as they will be tasked with representing our brands and driving wine club sign-ups at in-person events and virtually.

Responsibilities :
  • Execute strategies to drive sales growth within our direct-to-consumer (DTC) channel for Josh Cellars, Force and Grace, The Calling and future DTC brands, with a focus on acquiring new customers and enhancing customer retention and loyalty.
  • Help drive customer acquisition via digital advertising and events, building a funnel of potential leads.
  • Implement CRM and loyalty tactics - such as bundle offers, member events and email marketing - to grow wine club membership, drive repeat purchase and increase customer lifetime value.
  • Utilize customer segmentation and personalization techniques to deliver tailored experiences and offers to different customer segments.
  • Develop monthly DTC activity calendars, leveraging brand marketing initiatives, e-commerce retail moments/occasions and member and non-member events to ensure we're creating value for our subscribers throughout the purchase funnel.
  • Collaborate with agency partners and internal cross-functional teams to develop best-in-class materials and campaigns for the DTC channel.
  • Work with the Head of DTC to develop an annual calendar of member and non-member events designed to attract new customers and retain existing wine club members in priority geographies.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for our fine wine brands, The Calling and Force & Grace, developing new sales opportunities and providing consumers with best-in-class wine education and engagement.
  • Ensure wine club members receive excellent customer service on an ongoing basis.
  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to manage DTC warehouse inventory, ensuring we remain in stock on all items and move through current vintages of all wines.
  • Manage daily DTC order fulfillment, querying quarantined orders and actioning accordingly.
  • Coordinate the setup of new SKUs in the system, ensuring that all orders and reporting are processing correctly.
  • Evaluate channel performance on an ongoing basis, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize customer engagement initiatives and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Qualifications & Skills Required:
  • 3-5 years of digital marketing experience, with a preference for bev alc industry experience.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing digital strategies to drive customer acquisition, retention/loyalty and sales growth.
  • Must have a strong knowledge of wine at a rich enough level to be credible in crafting content for wine engaged audiences, as well as face-to-face education.
  • MBA preferred, but not required.
  • Advanced writing and communication skills, with experience crafting wine and/or luxury marketing communications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a polished, professional presentation style.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms, data analysis tools, and marketing automation software is preferred, but not required.
