Business Development Specialist will work with our sales team to build the sales and recognition of the distributor's beer portfolio in the assigned North Carolina market areas. The Business Development Specialist will directly participate in the execution of sales building activities including, but not limited to, staff education, coordination and execution of special events, calling on accounts, supplier interaction, chain program and promotion execution.

Job Description:

• Grow distributor's presence in the North Carolina market areas and overall brand recognition of distributor's portfolio of beer brands.
• Educate sales staff on and directly contribute to the hand selling of distributor's beer brands.
• Spend at least 80% of time in market.
• Work with distributor and supplier representatives on "ride-withs" and other sales activities.
• Make monthly account development calls.
• Serve as Promotional Manager, overseeing growth and execution of on-site and point-of-sale promotions at accounts.
• Participate in local festival/special event planning and execution.
• Work with Statewide Beer Division Manager to develop monthly sales plans and annual business plans to be executed in the market

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor degree preferred
• Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skill
• 2 years of sales experience in the alcoholic beverage industry preferred,
• Previous sales and merchandising experience a plus
• A passion for beer is required
• Cicerone Certified Beer Server certification preferred.
• Ability to work independently on a flexible schedule; including weekends and evenings.
• Must be 21 years old and able to qualify for an ABC Wholesale Salesmen permit
• Ability to periodic and repetitive lift up to 60 pounds
• Clean driving record and a valid driver's license is required
