Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial Forecasting Manager to lead our commercial forecasting process. The Regional Commercial Forecasting Manager will collaborate closely with Sales, Trade Development, Site Leadership, and Finance to enhance the predictability and visibility of our plans. This role will take ownership of the Commercial Sales Planning process for the market, acting as a local subject matter expert and driving improvements in current processes and execution.

As Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits (SGWS) moves towards a unified depletion plan with suppliers, the Commercial Forecasting group will play a pivotal role in its success. This group will provide essential support to Trade Development teams in accurately forecasting demand, fostering close collaboration with Sales & Operations Planning, market sales teams, and key suppliers like Diageo and Moet.

Reporting to the National Director of Commercial Forecasting, the Regional Manager of Commercial Forecasting will work closely with Vice Presidents of Trade Development to execute the national planning strategy within their respective regions. This involves ensuring an integrated Depletions Forecast across all systems and establishing robust processes and training to facilitate effective execution of our strategic objectives

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales, trade marketing, and finance teams to gather and consolidate sales data, customer insights, and market trends.
  • Monitor and analyze sales trends, seasonality, and promotional activities to identify patterns and anticipate changes in customer demand.
  • Validate forecast accuracy and adjust forecasts as needed based on actual sales performance, customer feedback, and market dynamics.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on demand forecasts, sales performance, and key metrics to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Facilitate commercial meetings as needed to ensure all parties are aligned and all key issues and opportunities are addressed.
  • Support the S&OP process by participating in planning meetings, reviewing demand forecasts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align sales forecasts with supply plans and inventory targets.
  • Promote Forecast Accuracy by reinforcing a culture of constant metric evaluation and conducting periodic training to Trade Development/Commercial teams in areas of opportunity.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance forecast accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Lead the implementation of processes, systems, and organizational development to build a robust sales and financial plan
  • Ensure Depletions Forecasts are reconciled and in sync across all platforms utilized by SGWS, Coastal Pacific Wine & Spirits, Diageo and Moet as applicable, enabling OnePlan. Examples of these systems include: Blue Yonder, Commits, CPS, E2Open, etc.
  • Assist in ad-hoc analysis, special projects, and initiatives as assigned by National Director of Commercial Forecasting


Additional Primary Responsibilities

  • Incorporate benchmarking and leverage best practices with other sites to further shape and improve commercial planning processes
  • Ensure process standardization where applicable through all reporting divisions within the state
  • Provide regional ongoing support to users for commercial sales planning tools
  • Trains all stakeholders on commercial sales planning processes
  • Help drive and execute one aligned forecast in all markets and see the plan to fruition by eliminating barriers and alleviating operational bottlenecks
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience in influencing and presenting
  • Proficiency in Excel and Analytical capabilities
  • Strong experience in commercial business planning, program management, and other relevant cross-functional processes required.

  • Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting and stooping
  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
