We are looking for a dynamic, outcome-oriented person to become our Customer Development Manager. The main goal of this role is to expand our business with national account customers. This role will work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and finance to develop and execute our corporate strategy with strategic retail partners. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creation of persuasive sales presentations in collaboration with national account sales leaders to expand the O’Neill brand presence, and secure significant promotional support and implementation.
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of O’Neill brand performance in existing accounts with an emphasis on competitive benchmarking, risk assessment, and opportunity identification.
  • Design, maintain, and improve reporting and analytic tools tailored to the needs of direct and indirect stakeholders. Reporting applications include but are not limited to Power BI and Microsoft Excel.
  • Builds and maintains good working relationships with retail partners inside and outside the organization, and seeks out, assesses, and proposes new ways of doing business.
  • Investigate, evaluate, and communicate important insights on new and emerging trends and opportunities in the category. Track performance & refresh monthly retail reports for internal & external customers according to standards.
  • Lead National Accounts annual planning process.
  • Work cross-functionally to develop and deploy retail marketing programs in alignment with national consumer focus periods.
  • Assists Retail Account team with the preparation of new item paperwork, quarterly meetings, and leadership top-to-top.
  • Plan and evaluate promotional activities within the category, assessing their effectiveness in driving sales and market share growth. Based on performance data, recommend adjustments.
  • Collaborate with brand marketing to provide data support for any customized program presentations.
QUALIFICATIONS

 Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of sales analytics experience in the CPG industry in a customer-facing/analytic role.
  • Insatiable curiosity and overall inquisitive nature.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills including ability to coordinate with multiple departments.
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office 365 platforms.
  • Passion for creative problem solving and ability to craft data-driven sales presentations.
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Willing to help and support others in their work to contribute to the overall success of the company.
  • Thrives in an entrepreneurial environment where he/she can build from the ground up but there is less formal structure or processes.
  • Highly organized, and able to manage time and resources effectively.
  • Experience working with syndicated data including but not limited to Nielsen/IRI.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Alcohol beverage experience and understanding of the 3-tier distribution system.
  • Experience authoring in Power BI or other data visualization applications.
  • Experience working with VIP depletion data.
