About the Role:
  • Plan, coordinate and facilitate the continuous replenishment of Diageo product from production and warehouse facilities to the control state bailment warehouses - up to 1k unique SKUs for multiple states.
  • Manage bailment inventory levels (~$15-30M) to meet service targets (98% case fill)and minimize cash flow impacts including appropriate management of high stocks, slow moving product, stock shortages, obsolete, etc.
  • Coordinate with internal functional teams and partners to make appropriate business trade-off decisions in support of control state business goals.
  • Serve as single point of contact for the commercial team and state contacts to address questions, issues and opportunities.

Role Responsibilities:

Account/Key Stakeholder Responsibility:
  • Maintain the primary relationships with key commercial and state contacts.
  • Champion great service by collaboratively working across all functions.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of product from the Diageo Supply sites to control states.
  • Proactively address and communicate issues that might impact inventory levels.
  • Establish and continuously improve business relationships with key State, Commercial and Finance; Handle appropriate communications and expectations.
  • Lead weekly collaborative meetings with key contacts (commercial, brokers, state contacts, etc.) to proactively address issues/concerns and to drive efficiencies in the supply chain.
  • Actively lead and support new product startups, product discontinuations, allocations.
  • Drive continuous improvements in business processes via critical thinking, share standard methodologies, and ensure appropriate alignment with cross functional teams.

Responsibility:
  • Responsible for the planning and management of $15M - $30M in inventory.
  • Maintain, monitor, and influence the results of relevant key performance indicators across service, cost, cash and quality.
  • Provide critical thinking, sound analysis and appropriate decision making to handle cost impact of trade-off recommendations across cost, service, cash and quality to arrive at the most appropriate solution for the business.
  • Drive the ongoing development and refinement of processes and metrics to ensure continuous improvements and efficiencies in service, cost, cash and quality.

Key Outputs:
  • Must provide critical thinking, sound analysis and appropriate decision making to support both supply planning and order management activities.
  • Apply sound root-cause problem solving skills in the pursuit of solutions that address the core drivers of the issues.
  • Ability to clearly summarize recommendations for management and present recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
  • Develop and maintain rolling 12-month supply plan and near-term replenishment plan to drive inventory availability and service to targeted levels within bailment warehouses.
  • Actively lead bailment inventories to optimize cash flow while meeting service targets.
  • Maintain, monitor, and influence the results of relevant key performance indicators across service, cost and quality.
  • Management of department related data within Diageo data bases (APO, ECC) accurately and timely.
  • Represent Customer Operations in cross functional meetings to shape and influence key critical business processes, such as innovation, system enhancements, and logistics network.
  • Support the continued development and refinement of Customer Operations processes and metrics to drive continuous improvements in service, cost, and quality

Qualifications and Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in supply planning and or customer operations roles within a fast-paced CPG company.
  • Degree in supply chain, business management, or related fields.
  • Experience in supply planning systems; Preferred experience with SAP.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Solid capabilities in MS Office Applications - particularly Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven track record to build strong customer relationships and handle customer expectations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with internal and external customers across various levels of the organization.
