Overview

The Systems Operator is responsible for coordinating automation systems in conjunction with warehouse functions in order to drive operational efficiency, inventory accuracy and process integration. Essential work duties include analytics and data driven based process improvement, executing receiving, shipping and inventory moves, acting as a liaison between automated MHE and adhering to safety and compliance policies, and fostering a positive working environment.

Responsibilities
    • Able to generate documentation of existing processes and improvements, forecast expected results of process changes, analyze implemented changes and make further adjustments to workflow, schedules or other processes as required.
    • Should be familiar with all aspects of operation and maintenance in relations to operations.
    • Familiarity with Warehouse Management, Wave management and other automation software.
    • Understanding of metrics for storage retrieval and/or conveyor systems performances standards.
    • Should be detail-oriented problem-solvers who are able to employ leadership, critical thinking and time management skills and can work effectively both independently and in teams.
    • Utilization of tools designed to help track workflow, create lists and develop collaborative efforts in all aspect of operations.
    • Must possess strong written and oral communication abilities, responsible for creating documents, interacting with managerial staff and training employees as needed.
    • Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds, understand quality control concepts and develop creative and innovative ways to improve business processes.

Qualifications
    • A relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent (Accounting, Business or Logistics Management)
    • 3-5 years of experience within a warehouse or distribution environment.
    • Experience in automated warehouse preferred.
    • Lean or Six Sigma Certification preferred.
    • Functional system understanding Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint.
    • Ability to work non-traditional business hours including evenings, nights and weekends when required.
    • Strong Communication skills - verbal, presentation, writing.
    • Preferred: Next day delivery operations experience.


    • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift up to 50-60 pounds based on the nature of product sold.
