The salary range for this role, based in Arkansas is $112,400.00 to $ 140,500.00 , range will vary if outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate's experience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.

Position Summary

This position is dedicated to adding value to Customer and Pernod Ricard USA (PRUSA) by managing the Spirits Category business plan while assuring PRUSA business goals are met. The role will be responsible for supporting all Category Management responsibilities for the Customer account through the analysis of scan data, consumer insights, and industry trends to help uncover opportunities to drive sales and defend against competitive threats. The position may include some travel to key markets to review business performance, program opportunities, and assist markets in reaching goals within the Chain. Position will act in an independent advisory role but will be dedicated to working against supporting the retailer's Category Management initiatives and will work closely with the Buying team.

Key components/skill sets needed include
  • Category Management Knowledge: Ability to develop category strategies and go-to-market standards to provide insights of Consumer dynamics and provide recommendations to grow retailers business.
  • Commercial Knowledge: Understanding of both retailer and distributor/wholesaler needs. In addition, broad understanding of marketplace dynamics, and previous experience in Bev Alc environment. Take part in the integration and planning between HQ and field as well as distributor to develop analysis and fact based tool kits to move business forward via category management processes.
  • Analytical: Ability to gather, synthesize, analyze, and present data from multiple systems/sources (examples: Retail Link, Nielsen, Spectra, HH Panel, Account Sold, Shipment, Depletion, etc.) • Working knowledge of space management tools, ( ProSpace or Spaceman). • Working knowledge of market research techniques and approaches.

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities
  • Proactive management analytics in support of providing category insights and recommendations to assist in growing category sales.
  • Manage the analysis and development of Category Planogram Process to maximize category sales.
  • Provide ad hoc support to Buying team in terms of regional analyses, pricing analyses and special projects.

Key Competencies and Qualifications

-Education: Requires Bachelors Degree, MBA preferred.

-Experience / Background: Typically requires 7+ years of previous category sales analysis experience, in a wine and spirit sales environment preferred but not required. Previous experience in supporting the assigned account strongly preferred.

-Required Skills/Competencies: A successful individual will demonstrate exceptional skill in critical thinking and communication, as well as a high level of data analysis, problem solving and analytical reasoning. Ability to organize and manage work to achieve results and track performance so that problems are detected early or prevented entirely are key competencies for success.
  • Must possess strong Computer skills with a proficiency in MS Office - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • A successful individual will demonstrate strong Nielsen / IRI analytical skills, Spaceman and other Category Management software application skills and have category management background.
  • A successful individual will demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as outstanding aptitude for time management.

  • Travel to customer sites and field level surveys is sometimes required.
