Summary
The Manager, Culture & Engagement will be responsible for the efforts to create a best-in-class culture for RNDC associates. Leveraging a comprehensive and strategic approach, this role focuses on enhancing associate engagement and retention through our robust listening strategy and initiatives that blend social and business impact. Reporting to the VP, Culture & CSR, this position plays a crucial role in cultivating a work environment that empowers associates to fully participate and contribute, driving a high-performance, engaged culture. Additionally, the Manager helps elevate RNDC’s external profile, reinforcing our reputation as an outstanding employer, a committed community partner, and a unique business ally for our suppliers and customers.
In this role, you will
  • Apply principles and best practices in workplace culture, engagement, retention, and social responsibility, including diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
  • Develop and deploy engagement and pulse surveys as part of the associate listening strategy using selected platforms.
  • Manage social and business impact programs, including the RNDC Foundation, charitable giving, volunteerism, responsible consumption, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Provide thought leadership and support for key departmental areas such as Affirmative Action Planning, ethics reporting, annual culture calendar, and content management.
  • Support communication efforts, including the annual CSR report, SpeakEasy content, PowerPoint presentations, and social media updates.
  • Assist the Vice President with select DEIB initiatives, including Associate Resource Groups and Talent Acceleration Programs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, key suppliers, customers, and community partners.
  • Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as assigned throughout the course of employment.
     
What you bring to RNDC
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred
  • Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting business literature, professional journals, technical procedures, and regulations. 
  • Capable of writing clear reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Skilled in presenting information and responding to questions from management, senior leaders, customers, suppliers, and the public.
  • Competent in calculating figures and amounts (such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, and measurements) and applying basic algebra and geometry concepts to practical scenarios.
  • Skilled in interpreting instructions in various formats, including written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule forms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Experienced in administering and navigating third-party HR software platforms like SuccessFactors and MS Viva Glint.
  • Knowledgeable in developing and executing engagement surveys, including result interpretation and action planning.
