Responsibilities:
- Download daily unshipped item report. Review and generate credit memos accordingly.
- Review delivery documents for discrepancies and issue credit memos as required.
- Review, price and issue credit memos for returned merchandise.
- Communicate with the Sales Department, colleagues and customers regarding customer accounts.
- Read, interpret and discuss pricing requests with Sales or Brand Managers to ensure credit memos are issued correctly and in a timely manner.
- Review and analyze customer accounts.
- Apply credit memos to corresponding invoice(s).
- Upload credit memos into our online document storage system, Docuware, upload and attach any backup to corresponding credit memo.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities to be successful in this role:
- 2-4 years related experience in A/R, or equivalent combination of education/experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Demonstrate outstanding interpersonal skills; able to maintain effective working relationships with all colleagues and customers. Must be adaptable and capable of taking directions from team members.
- Extremely organized and attentive to detail, excellent time management is required
- Critical thinking, problem solving and research capability is a must
- Ability to apply mathematical skills for preparing credit memos as well as verifying and correcting pricing issues
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Wine or spirits industry experience helpful, but not required
