Overview

This Director Enterprise Services role is part of the SGWS IT Leadership career track that leads, manages, mentors, and develops the technology teams across ETP teams including Office of the CIO, business solutions, enterprise architecture and infrastructure teams.

Specialized Skills and Technologies

  • Experience managing large / multiple enterprise development teams that support B2B / B2C applications
  • Experience in application development, fullstack & support of Java/J2ee applications on an enterprise scale, online platforms.
  • Strong knowledge in enterprise tools and technologies such as Messaging platforms, Identity and Access Management Services, Java, JavaScript technologies such as NodeJS, React
  • Experience in programming and framework such as Java, Spring Boot, NodeJS, JavaScript / Type Script, Docker / Containerization
  • Experience in digital transformation initiatives, Cloud Migration, Micoroservices architecture
  • Good knowledge and understanding of IT Infrastructure, Network, Linux / Unix
  • Experience in developing and deploying applications in Cloud such as Microsoft Azure (preferable), AWS or GCP
  • Experience in working with Docker / Containerization, AKS or similar container orchestration platforms, Serverless, Event Driven architecture etc.
  • Strong knowledge in Microservices Architecture, Event Driven, CI/CD Pipelines, Quality Gates etc.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Define, communicate and review project milestones and service level agreements
  • Drive optimization of solutions through an understanding of business needs and technology capabilities
  • Manage IT staffing, recruitment, supervision, development, guide and nurture the team
  • Collaborate with client application teams / order platform owners, Business Owners, prioritize the features, plan and deliver the services and enhancements
  • Serve as techno-function SME in building and maintaining fast, reliable, secure and durable production applications / systems
  • Champion, modernize and build programs, software solutions, process innovations and metrics that drive continuous improvements to reliability & resiliency
  • Establish engineering standards and best practices (including Security), automate and enforce it
  • Direct and Coach his direct reportees
  • Lead meetings and able to articulate the message clearly to the Executive team
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reportees
  • Envision a set of enterprise services needed over a time-horizon, aligned with business functional needs (e.g., digital products and initiatives)


Additional Primary Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and formal education in relevant disciplines (Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics or relevant degreed)
• 10+ years related experience in technology management, customer relationship management and staff management
• Prior supervisory experience
• Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
• Ability to work with multiple technologies, aptitude for new technologies and ability to effectively apply technological solutions to business problems
• Proven experience in planning, organization, implementation and development of applications or infrastructure
• Experience successfully managing the support of application, systems, or infrastructure environments
• Ability to provide strong leadership and timely/effective performance feedback
• Exceptional written and oral communications, with ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical addressees
• Exceptional organizational skills; proven ability to multi-task
• Able to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
• Measures personal success through impact on business results, and client service
• Able to stand back from immediate problems to focus on more far reaching ideas
• Develops a strategic plan to realize the vision
• Revises and adjusts strategy considering changing circumstances
• Takes a long-term view of organizational success
• Native ability to function in multiple roles simultaneously, and demonstrates key attributes for working at the next level of seniority
• Ability to lead a team environment with Agile delivery values

• Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
• May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
